
Life is Strange 2's second episode connected the story to Dontnod's summer standalone, Captain Spirit, when the Diaz brothers met Captain Spirit's protagonist, Chris Erikson in the present day. Episode 4 will release on August 22 and then Life Is Strange 2 is expected to conclude with the fifth installment on December 3. There will be a bit of a wait for new episodes after this one. This episode acts as the midpoint of Life Is Strange 2. Cassidy and Finn will also rejoin the cast for 'Wastelands.' The synopsis also implies this sketchy scenario will place the brothers on opposing sides, even possibly splitting up permanently. The Diaz brothers will enter the fringes of society as they befriend a close-knit community of runaways and vagabonds, and even take part in the illegal substance trade happening in the forests of California.

The new entry will be set a few months following the events of episode 2.
